1980's Philly Music Trade
The 23 East... The Chestnut... the Empire...

Were you there?  I was too (as a fan - I have no formal connection to any of the bands), and I recorded a lot of live shows from WMMR and WYSP.  Many thanks to Pierre Robert, Michael Tearson, Cyndy Drue and others for spreading the word of such a great Music Scene.

Fast forward to 2001 when I set out to find a few Beru Revue and Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers shows that had disappeared from my collection.  It didn't take long for me to realize that there were other Beru, Rumblers, Hooters, A's, and Robert Hazard fans out there looking for the same thing.

Through trades with fans from across the country and around the world, my collection has grown to include hundreds of live shows and rare recordings from other Philly Bands too, including John Eddie, Bricklin, Hall & Oates, the Daves, Dynagroove, Alan Mann and more.

So take a tour through this site and check out what I have to offer you.  Then check out your attic or basement and find out what you have to offer me.  If you have questions about song selection, length or quality of a recording, contact me at beruhaha@aol.com.  I'll always steer you to the recordings that best suit your tastes.

What am I looking for?  Anything that you have that you don't see listed here.  Cassettes, CDs, DVDs, albums, videotapes - you name it.

Don't let what I already have limit your imagination.  There were so many great bands in the area that I just didn't get around to seeing or collecting them all.  So if you have anything reminiscent of the 1980's Philly Music Scene - try me.

This is a trading-only site.  Please don't ask me to sell you anything.  I'd like to, but I can't.  I've provided links to some of the band's websites, and some of them have recordings for sale.  There's always iTunes, Amazon and eBay too.

I'm only interested in Philly Music, and only interested in trading.   If you write to me without offering a trade, I might not respond.  I hate to do this, because I know what it's like to miss and want this stuff, but other obligations prevent me from doing it any other way.

So whaddya got?
